a couple of years ago i had the fortune of visiting friends in Colorado. i had never seen the rocky mountains before - one of the highlights of my trip was when i saw these elk on the mountainside. it was very moving to witness the natural beauty of the rocky mountains.
later that year (2024), i visited New York City with my special lady. this is a picture of her in Washington Square Park, where we drank coffees and shared pastries.
between 2024 and 2025, i lived on Cassatt Ave in the Clifton Heights neighborhood of Cincinnati. i was struggling a bit during that time, and was fairly unhappy. things began to turn around in the spring of 2025, when Morgan and i took advantage of the small grassy plot behind the house and built what would becoming our first vegetable garden. it was a very humble garden - the shoddy raised beds made of wood from deconstructed pallets and the product looked a little funny. at this point in the season it looks like we were growing swiss chard, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots. i learned a lot during that time.
